How do you work out what my clubs are worth?
We look at every Buy It Now listing on eBay UK for your model today, in the condition you pick, and take the middle (median) price including postage. The range is the middle half of those listings. For iron sets we work it out per club and multiply by the clubs in your set, because a 4-PW and a 6-PW are worth different amounts.
Is this what my clubs will sell for?
It's what similar clubs are listed for, not what they sell for. Expect to get a little under the typical asking price selling privately on eBay, and a lot less trading in: trade-in and part-exchange schemes need room to resell at a profit, so they usually offer well under these prices.
What affects the value of used golf clubs most?
The model and how old it is (each new generation knocks the old one down), then condition: sky marks, chips, worn grooves and worn grips all reduce it. Left-handed clubs sell to fewer buyers. A matching headcover and the adjustment tool add a little to drivers and woods.
Should I sell my clubs as a set or one by one?
One by one usually raises more for good clubs: a buyer who wants your driver may not want your putter. Full sets sell best when they're beginner or mixed-brand clubs that wouldn't sell well on their own.
