Before you buy a used Srixon Z765 / Z565 / Z745 irons
- Count the clubs. A 4-PW is 7 clubs, a 5-PW is 6, a 6-PW is 5. That's why we score sets per club: a cheap 6-PW isn't a better deal than a fair 4-PW.
- Check the grooves and faces. Look for even wear across the faces. Worn grooves reduce spin, especially on the short irons.
- Check the shaft and flex on every club. All the clubs in the set should have the same shaft and flex. Mixed shafts usually mean replaced clubs.
- Look for the original grips or recent new ones. A full regrip costs about £60-£100 for a set, so worn grips knock that off the value.
- Pay through eBay. eBay's Money Back Guarantee only covers you if you pay through eBay. Never pay by bank transfer outside it, however good the deal.
