Newer isn't always better value: a model one or two years old often costs half as much as the latest one.

Before you buy a used Odyssey 2-Ball putter

Check the length. Most putters are 33-35 inches. A putter can be cut down but not easily lengthened, so check before you buy.
Check the face and sole. Dings on the face matter more than marks on the sole. Milled faces show wear more than inserts.
Watch for fakes. Scotty Camerons and Odysseys are the most copied putters. Be wary of new ones at a fraction of the usual price, especially from overseas.
Pay through eBay. eBay's Money Back Guarantee only covers you if you pay through eBay. Never pay by bank transfer outside it, however good the deal.
