Before you buy a used Ping G15 irons
- Count the clubs. A 4-PW is 7 clubs, a 5-PW is 6, a 6-PW is 5. That's why we score sets per club: a cheap 6-PW isn't a better deal than a fair 4-PW.
- Check the grooves and faces. Look for even wear across the faces. Worn grooves reduce spin, especially on the short irons.
- Check the shaft and flex on every club. All the clubs in the set should have the same shaft and flex. Mixed shafts usually mean replaced clubs.
- Look for the original grips or recent new ones. A full regrip costs about £60-£100 for a set, so worn grips knock that off the value.
- Pay through eBay. eBay's Money Back Guarantee only covers you if you pay through eBay. Never pay by bank transfer outside it, however good the deal.
Questions
How much is a used Ping G15 irons worth?
Based on today's eBay UK Buy It Now listings, a used Ping G15 Irons typically costs £187 including postage. That's about £29 a club, which is the fairest way to compare sets of different sizes. These are asking prices, so many sell for less, especially with Best Offer.
When did the Ping G15 irons come out?
The 2009 G15 irons. Its 21 other Ping irons on this site run from 1982 to 2025.
Is it safe to buy a used Ping G15 irons on eBay?
Usually, if you pay through eBay (the Money Back Guarantee covers you if it arrives not as described) and buy from a seller with plenty of good feedback. Fake ironss do turn up, mostly listed new, cheap and from overseas. We flag low-feedback sellers and anything 40%+ under the typical price.
The Ping G15 Irons second-hand: what to know
The 2009 G15 irons.
The Ping G15 was followed by the Ping G20 Irons (2011), which typically sells for £209 used, and replaced the Ping G10 / G5 / G2 Irons (2004), typically £150. Buying this one instead of the newer model saves about 10% at today's prices.
